Rachel O’Brien

Research Nurse Manager

Rachel joined EMERGE in 2012 on a one day a week contract but after catching the research bug managed to convince the team to take her on full time at the beginning of 2015.

Her clinical background is in emergency nursing following a brief stint in orthopaedics. She has worked across a variety of studies building up her research experience and has also spent time working with the Resuscitation Research Group.

Rachel enjoys the chaotic yet exciting world of emergency medicine and the challenges and opportunities that a research role brings and loves working with the EMERGE team.
