In 2018, following the completion of her Bsc (Hons) Biomedical Science, Amarachi moved to Nigeria to begin her national service – a scheme designed to promote nation building and foster greater unity amongst Nigerian youths. During this time, she gained experience working as an administrative assistant. Whilst she felt capable in this role, she missed the stimulation of academia.
Thus is September 2020, she enrolled in a Master’s in Public Health course at Cardiff University – one of the best decisions she says she has made! Amarachi thoroughly enjoyed her master’s; the course content was engaging, piqued her interest in research and she loved learning amongst her diverse cohort.
Amarachi is thrilled to have joined the EMERGE Paediatrics research team. She is looking forward to working amongst an ambitious and dedicated group, building her clinical and research experience and ultimately contributing to the field of emergency medicine research.
