EMERGE was recently delighted to be invited to be the face of the CHSS Summer Fundraising campaign. CHSS have supported some of the exciting research EMERGE has initiated such as the PATCH-ED study looking at patients presenting to the emergency department with syncope (fainting) of unknown cause, and the IPED Study is looking at patients presenting again to the emergency department with palpitations of unknown cause. Both studies are trialling technology that hopes to improve diagnosis and therefore patient care. So far both studies are going really well.
